Firewall and Internet Filtering

Greenfield Center School strongly believes in protecting its students from inappropriate content on the Internet. Due to the open nature of the Internet and the possibility of students accessing unsuitable material, the school enforces a policy of Internet safety by using an Internet Security Appliance outfitted with a regularly updated content filter.

The Greenfield Center School Acceptable Use and Internet Safety Policy is available for viewing on the school Web site (http://www.centerschool.net/AcceptableUse/AcceptableUse.html).

Internet access at the school is a privilege, and as such, entails responsibility on the student’s part. Each year students and parents must sign a copy of the school’s Acceptable Use Policy in order to demonstrate compliance. The school posts a copy of this form on the school Web site for downloading by parents and guardians (http://www.centerschool.net/AcceptableUse/AcceptableUseForm.html).
