Visits

All School Meetings:
For Families and Students preK-Grade 7

Friday mornings 8:30-9:30 a.m. The entire school community gathers together to honor each other’s accomplishments and have fun together. Each month a different class facilitates the meeting, which consists of songs, a sharing time with questions and comments, special events, acknowledging each birthday, announcements and more songs! Call the Admissions Office to make an appointment at 413-773-1700.

This is the time for parents (K-7) to witness the magic of Center School classrooms. See the morning meeting, an academic class, hear about and see the school’s philosophy in action, and have your questions answered by our Director. Call the Admissions Office to make an appointment at 413-773-1700.

October-May; First Tuesday of each month; 8:00-9:00
For Current Parents & Visitors

Parent Coffee/Schmoozing Time: A casual and community-building time for parents to linger after drop-off, visit with old friends and meet new ones. There are always refreshments and everyone is welcome.

February 2008
Application Submissions Recommended: We accept K-8 applications for the 2008-2009 year starting in November and we offer enrollment to candidates as early as December. We continue to accept applications throughout the winter and spring, however we recommend that you apply by mid February. The majority of enrollment spots and financial aid packages are offered to candidates who apply by February.

For everybody of all ages

Family Contra Dance: with Wild Asparagus performing. The dance is at the Guiding Star Grange, 401 Chapman St., Greenfield. For more info please call the school (773-1700.) This is for everyone! Beginners are welcomed and encouraged! $8/adults-$6/students & seniors- $4/kids 6-13. Kids under 5 are free.

March 21, 2008 8:15-11:00am
For accepted students of grades 2-7 & parents

Applicants’ Visit Day: parents and accepted students for grades 2-7 are invited to visit. After our All-School Meeting, the applicants will have classroom time while parents will have a chance to talk to each other and ask questions of our director.

April 9, 3:00-5:00 pm
For prospective parents and students

Tea Party: Please plan on attending high tea, Center School style. All prospective parents are welcome to sip tea, nibble delectable treats and chat with staff and current parents. Childcare is provided. Please call the school if you would like childcare. (773-1700)

April 17, 4:00-8:00pm
For parents/grandparents/friends and students preK-8

Center School Museum: This is an open house for everybody. Each child in the school exhibits his/her works: writings, drawings, sculptures, inventions, creations, etc. Come and see the wide range of mediums used and the wonderful projects by children of all ages.

May 21,1:30-3:00 pm
For accepted K-1 students and parents

Primes Visit Afternoon: New Primes (K-1) and parents are invited to come visit the classroom, in the afternoon, meet teachers, meet one-another and get their bearings. An invitation for this event will arrive in the mailbox of all accepted new Primes.

June 4, 8:00-11:30 am
For accepted students of grades 2-7 & parents

Bridge Day: Accepted students are invited to participate in ‘bridge day’—where students spend a short time in the classes they will attend in the fall. Bridge Day gives new and returning students an opportunity to gather with their new class and new teachers in their new classroom for friendly activities. They will sit with their new class at the All School assembly. Parents of new students are welcome to come to and participate in a parent coffee enjoying conversations with current parents. All 2nd -7th grade accepted students will receive an invitation to bridge day.
